It feels like we went from March, straight through summer, and right back to school in the blink of an eye. We had a great summer spending time with Tita and Jan, Bern's parents from Holland, hanging out with my parents at the lakehouse in Hayward, Wisconsin and enjoying being together for a few days without a lot of responsibilities.
This year Matthew is in 4th grade, Amalia is in her second year of preschool and Owen is two and just as huggable as ever. Bernhardt continues to work for DTS America, Inc. in East Dundee. He enjoys his work and is thankful that he continues to have a job in this crazy economy. Lisa is starting another year as a special education supervisor for five buildings in District 300. She enjoys working with all of her teams, interacting with various staffs, meeting with parents and the never ending mountain of paperwork that is all part of the job.
We're looking forward to another great school year!!
